Senior Furniture Designer - Workbench - Clerkenwell, London

Workbench, an established company specialising in bespoke furniture design and manufacture for the corporate sector, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Furniture Designer to join our growing team in Clerkenwell, London. We champion UK-based manufacturing & sustainable practices throughout the design process and this role offers an exciting opportunity to be a key contributor to our design team and the successful delivery of our projects.

About the Role:

As a Senior Furniture Designer at Workbench, you'll thrive in our dynamic environment. Your primary focus will be producing detailed drawings, problem solving and managing the successful delivery of projects, ensuring seamless integration between the design department and other teams to achieve successful installations. On a weekly basis, you can expect to:

Create detailed manufacturing drawings and accurate 3D models.
Generate high-quality photorealistic renders for presentations.
Proactively solve design challenges through prototyping and mock-up creation.
Provide crucial support to the sales team in client meetings and presentations.
Regularly visit our UK-based workshops to maintain strong relationships with our supply chain and play a vital role in quality control.
Attend project installations to ensure design integrity.

About You:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of diverse materials and manufacturing processes, coupled with an appreciation for the logistical considerations of corporate furniture installations. Given our company structure, excellent collaboration with a flexible approach to supporting various areas of the business is key.

All applicants must have BA or BSc Honours within Furniture/Product/Industrial Design and have relevant industry experience for a minimum of 3 years.

Required Software Experience:

Extensive proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Keyshot is essential.
Regular use of Adobe Creative Suite will also be required.
Familiarity with Revit and previous experience with Wix website builder are advantageous but not essential.
